Welcome Kim!

As the Community Advisory Committee Coordinator, Kim will work to be a voice for the cystic fibrosis community, advocating for ideas to improve charitable outputs, promote and raise awareness of cystic fibrosis, and strive for improved health outcomes to meet the evolving needs of the community members.

I am a mum to two young boys and do my best to balance parenting, caring for a child with cystic fibrosis, and fulltime work commitments. Shortly after receiving my son’s cystic fibrosis diagnosis, I became involved with Cystic Fibrosis Queensland and have benefited from the support, services, and resources the charity provides.

I am extremely passionate about raising awareness for cystic fibrosis and committed to improving the outcomes for those living with the genetic disease. Cystic fibrosis presents hurdles for connecting with the community – I would love nothing more than to overcome some of these challenges so we can be more deeply connected as a special community of carers, supports, and those living with cystic fibrosis.

The opportunity to be part of the Community Advisory Committee and excites me. I look forward to bringing together my passion as a parent, professionalism from my work experience and a dash of the energy from my former cheerleading days to this role.

Kim is eager to connect with all members of the community and invites you to contact her via email cac@cfqld.org.au

Membership to the Community Advisory Committee is open to all financial members of Cystic Fibrosis Queensland and Kim would love to have you join the conversation.
