Diamond Jubilee Donors Club
Cystic Fibrosis Queensland is celebrating its diamond jubilee, 60 years of providing support, services and hope to those fighting cystic fibrosis.
The Australian Cystic Fibrosis Association begun in Queensland and later relinquished the Australian title and took on Cystic Fibrosis Queensland when the organisation federated so that other state associations and a national body could be formed.
For 60 years, Cystic Fibrosis Queensland has relied on fundraising to meet the needs of people and their families living with cystic fibrosis, for our diamond jubilee we wish to establish a perpetuity account to secure the long-term future of the organisation.
Lives unaffected by cystic fibrosis - responding to the needs of our members today and into the future.
Cystic Fibrosis Queensland funds research, advocates and delivers support and service programs to people and their families living with cystic fibrosis. Today, we support more 1,000 families compared to 730 families 10 years ago.
In the last 10 years, life expectancy for cystic fibrosis sufferers has been extended from 18 years to just short of 50 years. While a child is still born every four days with cystic fibrosis, it now affects the lives of more adults and the number of people requiring our help, both today and projected has increased.
Currently, there is no cure for cystic fibrosis. Our mission is ‘Lives unaffected by Cystic Fibrosis’ and we assist everyone affected by cystic fibrosis to live fuller, healthier lives.
Help secure the long-term future of Cystic Fibrosis Queensland by becoming a member of the Diamond Jubilee Donors Club
We are seeking 60 founding members to donate $1,000 each to establish our $60,000 perpetuity account. It is intended that this account will be added to over time but it is imperative that we get it off the ground with a solid start. The opportunity to become a founding member will only occur once.
All donations over $2.00 are eligible for deductible gift recognition.
